Women's Track and Field Traveled to El Camino

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College women's track and field team competed at the El Camino College 5 Way. 

Freshman Marilu Flores led the sprint group with fourth-place finishes in both the 100m (13.24) and 200m (27.58), while Cameron Eubanks added a PR in the 100m and placed fifth in the long jump.

In the distance events, Sofia Moody placed second in the 1500m with a PR of 5:08.68 and fifth in the 800m. Mia Leisenfelder recorded PRs in both the 800m and 1500m, while Addyson Eggers and Ashley Pitter each notched personal bests in the 1500m, with Eggers also finishing third in the 3000m.

The Renegades were dominant in the throws, as Karly Mundy captured first place in both the shot put (10.17m PR) and hammer throw (38.22m), while also taking third in discus. Kaira Hubble added a second-place finish in shot put and a PR in discus to round out a productive day in the field events.
