MOORPARK, CA - The Bakersfield College women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the Western State Conference Championships with a 7th-place team finish, highlighted by several top-five performances.

Freshman Sofia Moody led the way on the track, earning a 2nd-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase (12:16.33). Distance standout Addyson Eggers also delivered a strong performance, placing 3rd in the 10,000 meters (43:08.29 PB) to secure a podium finish for the Renegades.

In the field events, freshman Karly Mundy turned in an impressive all-around showing. She placed 4th in the hammer throw (37.59m) and 5th in the discus (33.66m PB), leading BC throwers with multiple top-five finishes.

Rounding out the top performances, freshman Camryn Eubanks recorded a 4th-place finish in the long jump (4.86m).

Following the conference championships, four Renegades have qualified to continue their postseason at the SoCal Regional Prelims this weekend, hosted at Memorial Stadium. Marilu Flores, Sofia Moody, Addyson Eggers, and Karly Mundy will represent Bakersfield College as they look to advance further in postseason competition.
