FRESNO, CA - Competing at the 3C2A Women's State Championships hosted by Fresno City College, Bakersfield College delivered an impressive showing against the state's top competition, highlighted by two All-American performances. 

Leading the way for the Renegades, Celia Esquivel (103 lbs) put together a dominant run to the finals, recording two falls and a decision victory along the way. Her aggressive style and ability to finish matches early helped her secure a runner-up finish and All-American honors.

At 110 lbs, Mikayla Weller matched that effort with an equally strong performance. Weller powered through her bracket with two technical falls and a decisive semifinal win, showcasing her control and scoring ability before finishing second overall to earn All-American recognition.

Also contributing to the team's success, Jennifer Salinas Cisneros (110 lbs) battled through the consolation rounds to place 8th. She picked up two key wins by fall, demonstrating resilience and determination after an early setback in the championship bracket.

At 145 lbs, Cristal Chavez added to the Renegades' performance with a strong effort, earning a fall in the consolation bracket and valuable team points.
