BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College men's basketball picked up a strong home win on Tuesday afternoon, defeating Porterville 75-57 inside the Gil Bishop Sports Center.

The Renegades came out firing early, shooting an even 50% from the field in both halves to control the pace from start to finish. Joaquin Rios led BC with 17 points on an efficient 7-of-8 shooting, while Zykiar Henderson added 12 points and six rebounds. Gustavo Chavez hit three triples to finish with nine points, and Markell Brooks contributed eight points and six rebounds.

Bakersfield dominated the paint with 42 points inside and forced 20 points off turnovers, showcasing balanced play on both ends of the floor.

With the win, the Renegades improve to 3-1 on the season. BC heads out for the road to take on Santa Barbara City College on Friday, November 14th.
