Bakersfield Falls Late at Reedley, 65–62

REEDLEY, CA - Despite holding the lead entering the fourth quarter, Bakersfield came up short on the road Saturday afternoon, falling 65–62 to Reedley College in a hard-fought matchup.

After three tightly contested quarters, the Renegades carried a 49–39 advantage into the final period. However, Reedley surged with a 26-point fourth quarter, capitalizing at the free-throw line and executing late to pull ahead for good.

Danika Tolentino delivered a strong performance, finishing with a game-high 21 points to go along with six rebounds, five assists, and three steals in 37 minutes. Her scoring and playmaking helped Bakersfield build momentum through the middle quarters.

Alexia Ramirez anchored the interior with a dominant 16-rebound effort, adding nine points and serving as a key presence on both ends. Diamond Brownlee recorded a double-double of her own with 12 points and 12 boards, while Lailene Araniva and Jamie Neaderbaomer combined for 15 points and seven rebounds.

Bakersfield outrebounded Reedley 47–44 and generated 10 steals defensively, but cold shooting from the field (32.1%) and the free-throw line (38.5%) made it difficult to create separation.

The Tigers' efficiency at the stripe (19–25) proved crucial in the final minutes as they erased Bakersfield's lead.

The Renegades, 4-1, will look to get back to the win column as they host Santa Barbara City College on Tuesday, November 18th at 5:00 PM.
