MOORPARK, CA - The Bakersfield College women's basketball team fought hard in the second round of the playoffs but came up just short in a 55–53 loss to Moorpark College on Saturday night at the Raider Pavilion, bringing the 2025–26 season to a close. Despite a strong effort throughout, the Renegades were unable to secure the win in a tightly contested matchup that saw several lead changes and key plays down the stretch.
Bakersfield was paced by balanced scoring and hustle across the lineup. Jamie Neaderbaomer led the team with 12 points and 8 rebounds, while Lailene Araniva added a double-digit effort with 10 points and 10 boards. Danika Tolentino contributed 10 points and knocked down multiple threes, and Alexia Ramirez added 9 points with strong ball movement and defensive pressure. The Renegades battled on both ends, forcing turnovers and contesting every possession.
Moorpark made key plays in the clutch and held off Bakersfield's late surge to advance in the postseason. Though the season ends in heartbreak, the Renegades leave with a dominant freshman class for next season.
