Late Goal Lifts Citrus Past Bakersfield, 2–1

GLENDORA, CA - The Bakersfield College women's soccer team battled hard on the road Tuesday afternoon but fell just short in a 2–1 loss to Citrus College after a last-minute goal by the Owls.

Citrus struck first in the 36th minute to give the Owls a 1–0 lead. The Renegades continued to push forward and found their equalizer early in the second half, as Delilah Cardenas scored in the 62nd minute off an assist from Jaxi Hagen, bringing the match level at 1–1.

Despite Bakersfield's strong defensive stand and several late chances, Citrus broke through in the final moments of regulation. The Owls netted the game-winner in the 90th minute securing the 2–1 victory for the home side.

Bakersfield outshot Citrus 10–9 and earned five corner kicks to the Owls' six. Goalkeeper Addyson Evens tallied three saves while facing five shots on goal.

With the loss, the Renegades move to 6–6-1 overall and 3–2-1 in conference play.
