Renegades Sweep West LA at Home

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College volleyball returned to the Renegade Athletic Complex in dominating fashion, sweeping West LA in straight sets (25-18, 25-14, 25-16) on Wednesday night.

The Renegades controlled the match from start to finish, hitting .167 as a team while recording 29 kills and 11 service aces. Lainey Sterling led BC's attack with 8 kills and 2 blocks, while Carly Hayes added 6 kills on .500 hitting to spark the offense. Maya Barron contributed all-around with 5 kills, 11 assists, and 4 aces, while setter Taylor Drake tallied 12 assists, 3 aces, and 3 digs in a balanced team effort.

Defensively, libero Chloe Lopez anchored the back row with 16 digs, and Amanda Zepeda chipped in 9 digs and 2 aces to keep the Renegades in control.

The win improves Bakersfield's record to 4-4 in conference as they continue conference play. BC will be back in action on Friday when they host Santa Monica at 6:00 PM.
