GCC Men's Basketball rallies to beat Bakersfield College 75-67 in overtime Feb. 8
In the blink of an eye, the GCC Men's Basketball Team erased a 64-57 lead with two minutes left in the game to force overtime and then outscored the visitors from Bakersfield College 10-2 with the game tied at 65 al in the extra five minutes to register a 75-67 conference victory Wednesday Feb.8 in the Verdugo Gym.
Now 3-8 in WSC South play and 9-16 overall, Immanuel Lewis had a game high 26 points and scored six points in overtime to lead Glendale to the victory and hit 11 of 13 free throws for the game. Jarred Jones was also an offensive force against Bakersfield with 25 points and hit 11 of 14 free throws. Elijah Groves added 11 points and Powell Mousaian added 10 as Glendale shot 50 percent from the field. Jones and Groves led the team with six rebounds each.
GCC continues WSC South play with a 5 pm game at Citrus College Saturday Feb. 11.
