September 2, 2017 RENEGADES OUT-SWEAT HANCOCK TO WIN HOT HOME OPENER The Bakersfield College Renegade football team didn't want to wait another minute to start winning football games Saturday night; they already endured a two-hour push back of kickoff time after team officials and physicians determined it would be safer for players and coaches alike in the face of record-setting temperatures and poor air quality from area wildfires.
Memorial Stadium will be outfitted with special fans and cooling apparatus on Saturday, but the biggest safety move was pushing kickoff back two hours to 8p.

August 21, 2017 THURSDAY SCRIMMAGE CHANGED TO ROAD TRIP FOR RENEGADES Bakersfield College Football will break playing their Thursday scrimmage on the road at Antelope Valley instead of in Memorial Stadium as previously scheduled.

August 13, 2017 COACH CHUDY SAYS "WE NEED TO FOCUS ON WHAT WE CAN CONTROL" AFTER FIRST PRACTICE IN PADS The 2017 Bakersfield College Renegades had their first practice in full pads in Saturday's second and final practice session of the weekend and while they showed plenty of promise and enthusiasm, Head Coach Jeff Chudy was even-keeled and pragmatic heading into the off day.

August 9, 2017 BC ATHLETICS OFFERS MEMBERSHIP IN THE KNIGHT CLUB Bakersfield Media and Renegade fans alike were offered two distinct surprises at Tuesday's Football Media Day, and they delivered in announcing a first-ever VIP gameday experience called "The Knight Club", and the unfurling of what could be the largest banner ever hung in Kern County.

August 9, 2017 KNIGHT CLUB IS OPEN; COACH CHUDY SAYS "PRODUCT ON FIELD WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER"!  Coach Jeff Chudy topped off a steady stream of Bakersfield College VIPs and the spectacle of an allegedly record-setting banner being unfurled from the top of Memorial Stadium with an inspiring speech about the state of Renegade football 25 days before the team's September 2nd opener against visitor Allan Hancock College.
