The Bakersfield College Men's Basketball Team (5-2) beat Cerro Cost (0-4) by 51 points in wild 110-59 victory to open the 2016 Thanksgiving Tournament in the Gil Bishop Sports Center Friday.

Shane Christie and Jamar Hammonds led BC in scoring with 19 points each, but were just two of five Renegades who scored in double digits.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stockdale product Tucker Eenigenburg had the second-highest scoring total with 16 points and was a perfect three for three from beyond the arc, but picked up a double-double by also pulling down 11 rebounds for BC.

Freshman Jaylunn English has paced the 'Gades in scoring for the most part this season, but didn't have a hot shooting hand today and only scored two points. But the forward didn't go unnoticed by Cerro Coso as he pulled down six rebounds, blocked three shots, and chipped in a steal for the Renegades.

Play will continue on Saturday when the Renegades play Porterville College in the winner's bracket, tip off 5:00pm. Porterville College pulled out an overtime victory over Orange Coast College.
