FORMER RENEGADE TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE CCCMBCA HALL OF FAME

Former Renegade basketballl player, Brandon Kurtz, will be inducted into the California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame on March 9th at the Courtyard Marriott in Oxnard.  The Hall of Fame Brunch will begin at 9:00 AM and is part of the state final eight weekend.

Brandon, a graduate of Centennial High School, played for the Renegades from 1996-1998.  Brandon was an All-Conference selection both years at Bakersfield College and was an All-State selection, MVP of the Western State Conference and So-Cal player of the year in for  the 1997 -98 season.  He averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds, while shooting 59% from the field during his sophomore season.  Brandon also recorded 24 double-doubles during the '97-'98 campaign.

After leaving BC, Brandon continued his college career at the University of Tulsa, from 1998-2000.  He averaged 11 points per game for the Golden Hurricane, while making it to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 1999 and the Elite Eight in 2000.

Brandon ended his playing career in 2008 after eight season in the Euro League.
