Bakersfield Drops Conference Match Up with Citrus at Home

BAKERSFIELD, CA – The Bakersfield College men's baseball team hosted the Citrus College Owls on Wednesday evening at the Gil Bishop Sports Center. The Renegades were hoping for a revenge, but the Owls once again showed their dominance winning 70-59.

Both teams had a rough time finding the basket in the first 10 minutes of the game as only a total of 16 points were scored, with BC falling behind (4-12). Citrus took their largest lead of the night to end the half, 20-39.

CC shot at 31% while BC only managed 26% in the first half.

Into the second half and Citrus increase their lead while Bakersfield pushed hard to try and comeback. Renegades got as close as an eight-point deficit but in the end could not get ahead.

With the loss, the Renegades drop to 11-8 overall and 3-4 in conference play on the season. Bakersfield host the next two conference games on Saturday against Glendale at 3PM and on Monday for a rescheduled game with Antelope Valley at 5PM.
