Bakersfield, CA – The BC Men's Soccer team hosted LA Mission in Memorial Stadium on Friday evening and came away with a close 4-3 victory.

Scoring goals for the Renegades in the first half was Jose Lara and Jorge Pimentel. LA Mission netted two first half goals as well to go into halftime all tied up at 2-2.

The two teams then exchanged goals to open the 2nd with Anthony Ponce scoring for BC. Jose Lara then scored his second goal of the day and put BC ahead and seal the victory at 4-3 in the 85th minute.

"We're coming back from two really tough losses, but being at home – the crowd, the atmosphere – it always helps to get the first goal," said Coach Martinez, "We gave up a couple soft ones, but our boys played. Can't be any more proud of these guys. This is all them, a result of their hard work."

With the win, the Renegades improve to 5-4 on the season. They head on the road for their next game on Tuesday Oct. 2nd at 7:00pm against Santa Barbara City College.
