Bakersfield, CA - Edgar Gonzalez from Renegade Men's Soccer has committed to continue his academic and soccer career at California State University, Bakersfield. 

Gonzalez, from Bakersfield High School, played the last two seasons as a defender for the Renegades. In the 2018 season he collected seven goals and four assists and was named to the Western State Conference 1st-Team, the CCCSCA All-Region and All-State Teams. In 2019 he had six goals and seven assists and was named the WSC South Offensive Player of the Year, WSC South 1st-Team and the CCCAA South Region Team.  

California State University, Bakersfield is an NCAA Division I level school that will compete in the Big West Conference starting in the fall of 2020.
