Softball Drops LA Mission, 4-0

Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College softball team hosted LA Mission College on the back-end of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at the Dean & Adah Gay Sports Complex and clinched their second victory of the day, 4-0.

In the second inning, Ashley Hernandez had an RBI single that brought Alexandria Venegas in from third for the first run.

The Renegades then exploded for three more runs in the third. Venegas brought home Natilee Parrish on an RBI single and then with the bases loaded Fahy was walked home. Hernandez then had the second RBI single of the inning, bringing home Aviana Campos.

Fahy got the start in the second game at pitcher for the Renegades and went all seven innings, collecting 11 strikeouts and allowing only one run.

With today's results, BC improves to 6-4 overall.

The Renegades will travel to Cypress College tomorrow (2/24) to play rescheduled games from rainouts earlier in the month, against Pasadena City at 12:30pm and Cypress at 2:30pm.
