Softball Drops Doubleheader to Fullerton

Bakersfield, CA – After dropping the first game of Sunday's doubleheader to Fullerton, 2-0, the Renegades were unable to get redemption from the first loss, falling in the second game, 12-1.

Fullerton didn't wait long to take the lead, getting a grand slam in the top of the first inning to go up, 4-0. They further added to the lead in the top of the second putting three across before BC could end the inning.

BC was able to add a run in the bottom of the fourth on an errant throw to first off an Alexis Venegas hit that scored Kylee Fahy from third.

The Hornets added three more runs at the top of the fourth and another in the fifth to end the game on runs at the end of the innings.

Natilee Parrish got the start at pitcher for the Renegades and went four full innings before being relieved by Kylee Fahy in the fifth.

With today's losses, BC drops to 7-8 overall.

The Renegades will next host Santa Monica on Tuesday 3/5 at 2:30pm at the Dean and Adah Gay Sports Complex.
