Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College softball team hosted Cuesta College on Tuesday afternoon at the Dean & Adah Gay Sports Complex and nabbed their 15th conference victory, 8-0 in six innings.

Ashley Hernandez sent a single into centerfield with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second bringing home Kylee Fahy to score to open the scoring and take the lead, 1-0.

The score remained until the bottom of the sixth when Alexis Venegas knocked a triple to right field that scored Fahy from second. That was the spark that ignited six more runs that inning, capped off by a Venegas single to bring home Atlantis Rede and claim the run-rule victory.

Fahy started the game at pitcher for BC and went all six innings with eleven strikeouts, two hits and no runs allowed.

With today's results, BC improves to 23-16 overall and 15-0 in conference.

The Renegades host Moorpark in their regular season finale on Tuesday (4/23) at 5:00pm.
