BC WOMEN PUT WIN ON THE BOARD

The Bakersfield College Women's Basketball team (1-5) beat Victor Valley (1-5)  87-60 on the road to notch their first win of the 16-17 season.

Octavia Croney led BC with 14 points off the bench.

"She (Croney) hadn't played or practiced a week because of wisdom tooth surgery, but her surgeon cleared her today, and I decided to give her a shot in the second half and she was obviously ready to play," Coach Paula Dahl said.

While Dahl appreciated the offensive infusion, she said Croney offered certain intangibles as well.

"She got our half-court offense going and really sparked the fourth quarter," Dahl said.

MacKenzie te Velde had another double figure night with 13 points, while Angie Krueger contributed 11.

Bakersfield will enjoy a break over the Thanksgiving break before resuming play at the Santa Ana Tournament December 1st through 3rd
