BC cruised extended their winning streak to six with an 84-83 upset of Mt. San Jacinto College Saturday night.

Bakersfield College Women's Basketball (6-5) erased a 14 point deficit to beat #4 Mt. San Jacinto (10-1) 84-83 on the road Saturday night.

"Team. Team. Team. We beat them with team," Head Coach Paula Dahl said, "and we are more fit."

BC had the last possession, and while the first attempt at the game-winner missed, Mackenzie te Velde was ready.

"That play shows the work Coach Clarence Stephens has done with her post play, she grabbed that board at the end and picked up a beautiful putback for the game-winner," Dahl said.

She was eager to spread credit for the win amongst her staff.

"We were down by 14 at the half, and Coach Jess Soto said 'we just have to be down by seven at the end of the third quarter and we can beat them', and his game was just straight-up. They had players in foul trouble at the end, thanks to his plan, and it was a big factor." Dahl said.

The Renegades started the season 0-5, before beating Victor Valley on the road to break the streak. They followed that three wins and the Championship at the Santa Ana Tournament, a home win over Moorpark, and now a victory over previously undefeated Mt. San Jacinto College.
