Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Women's Basketball team hosted College of the Canyons at the Gil Bishop Sports Center in conference play on Friday night for the final game of the season and came away with a 70-53 loss.

The four Renegade sophomores were honored prior to playing in their final game at BC. The four included: Alyssa Gonzalez, Ja'Nece Green, Dasia Wandick and Janaye Herron.

The Renegades came out with another strong offensive showing in the first quarter and maintained the lead over the Cougars. Throughout the second quarter however, the Renegades lost momentum and Canyons took the lead into the locker room, 37-28.

BC was unable to regroup in the locker room and came into the second half unable to overcome the Cougar advantage. The Renegades were only 19/71 shooting for the night and 5 of 25 from behind the 3-point line.

Leading the Renegades was Dasia Wandick with a double-double (and season high and career tying) 30 points and 10 rebounds. Alyssa Gonzalez chipped in with 8 points and 4 rebounds.

With the loss, the 2019-20 Renegade Women's Basketball season concludes. They finish with an overall record of 11-17 and 5-9 in conference.
