The Bakersfield College Golf Team started their 2016 campaign with strong individual performances at the Buena Ventura Golf Course for Western State Conference Match #1 Monday.

Freshman Brandi Borjon lead the Renegades with a sizzling 159 overall score that was good enough to place her in the top ten (t9). She hit an 82 in round one before shaving off five strokes to finish with a 77 on day two.

Sophomore Janette Chan was right on her heels with a near-identical performance, but finished one stroke behind Borjon on Monday to finish with a two day score of 160, good to tie her at 10th with several other golfers.

Freshman Ireland Barton was also solid, hitting an 87 and 84 respectively to finish at 171 after two days.
