The Bakersfield College Wrestling Team placed eighth overall at the Mike Tamana Invitational At Modesto Junior College, but had two wrestlers make it to the championship round before coming up just short Saturday.

For the second week in a row, freshman Emmett Kuntz (149) wrestled to a top three finish, this time getting even closer to a championship with a 2nd place finish to Santa Rosa's Blake Boswell. 

Ramiro Macias (HVY) continues to show that he could be a serious force at the Southern California Regionals with another impressive performance, as he too grabbed a second place finish against Skyline's Ramon Guzman, who also was named Upper Weights Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament.
