The Bakersfield College Women's Soccer team (3-0-1) beat College of the Sequoias (0-2-1) 5-1 on the road at Riverway Park today on the strength of another big game by Amelia Lopez

Lopez led BC with two goals and an assist, her second multi-game goal of the season, giving her seven in the Renegades first four games of the season. She has also scored at least one goal in each game BC has played in 2016.

She wasn't alone in the five goal game, as Odalys Espinoza, Emily Teutinez, and Sabrina Morillo each chipped in a goal apiece.

"Amelia is having an incredible start to the season, but as I've said since before the season started, this team is very balanced," Coach Scott Dameron said.

Espinoza has contributed in each of BC's four games this season with a goal or an assist.

"Odalys is a major contributor, she's doing big things and is playing a key role for us," Dameron said, "But really, the entire team responded well to giving up an early goal, and bouncing back from a 1-0 defecit to score five straight goals."

Teutinez scored the first goal of her collegiate career unassisted, while Morillo scored her first collegiate goal on an assist from Lopez.

Ee netspinoza's assist helped Lopez put one of her two goals in th, and she had the favor returned by Estefano Florez who's pass put her in position to score a goal of her own.

BC plays next on Tuesday, September 13th in Santa Barabara at Noon. It's the second of a five-game road swing that won't see them play in Memorial Stadium again until September 27th when they host West LA at 7pm.
