Bakersfield, CA - Renegade cross country and track and field standout, Gabriella Lugo has signed to continue her academic and athletic career at Fresno State University.

Lugo, from Bakersfield Christian High School, competed as a sophomore this past year in both cross country and track & field. She finished the cross country season in 10th place at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Championships in Fresno, CA, was named an All-American and received Western State Conference (WSC) first-team All-Conference honors. This past spring in track, she finished in 2nd place in the women's 1500 meter and was named to the All-WSC first team in the 1500m and as a member of the 4x400m relay team. She was named an All-WSC Honorable Mention in the 5000m and 800m. 

Fresno State University is an NCAA Division I level school that competes in the Mountain West Conference.
