Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College women's volleyball team took on Palomar Friday night in the Gil Bishop Sports Center and came away with a 3-0 win to improve to 8-1 on the season.

BC won the first set 25-12, the second 25-19 and the final set 25-11.

Leading the way for BC was Penelope Zepeda with 12 kills, Lanie Camarillo with 9 kills and Bianca Logsdon with 7.

"Everyone executed", said Camarillo after the match, "It's really easy to play complacent. I think we took care of our side of the court."

Coach Carl Ferreria commented, "My favorite thing about it is that coming off a very hard two weeks, it's hard to sustain the level of play. I thought we had to be more mentally engaged in order to get ourselves physically going and that took a lot of work – so real proud of the kids."

Next up, the Renegades head to Mt. SAC on Saturday, Sept. 22 for two matchups. They will play Mt. SAC at 10:30am and Cypress at 1:00pm.
