BASEBALL PLAYS 'TIL THE END; END COMES IN EL CAJON

BC Baseball (28-12) lost to Grossmont (31-10) by a score of 8-1 to bring their 2016 playoff run to an end Saturday in  El Cajon.

Austin Toerner (7-2) was credited with the loss, despite giving up only two earned runs (four total) and scattering five hits over seven innings of work.

Reieiver Cyrus Parson ran into trouble in the eight inning, surrendering four runs in just two thirds of an inning.

Brooks Douglass led the Renegades with a home run, a double, and an RBI.

BC finished their season with an incredible run that saw only two losses before this weekend's series against Grossmont.

Bakersfield was one of just six teams in Southern California to finish the regular season with 26 wins or more, and three of those six teams came from their own Western Conference South.
