Baseball Falls to El Camino

Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College Baseball Team hosted El Camino College Thursday evening in the first game of a three-game home stand at Gerry Collis Field and came away with the loss 4-2.

BC started the scoring in the second inning off a Kamron Willman RBI ground out to go up 1-0. El Camino came back in the top of the fourth putting three runs across before BC got one more across in the bottom fourth.

El Camino added an additional run in the eighth to extend the lead to 4-2.

Alejandro Murillo got the start at pitcher and worked seven innings allowing three runs with four strikeouts. Chris Rodriguez pitched the final two innings collecting four strikeouts and allowing one run.

With the loss, BC drops to 6-2 overall.

Up next, the Renegades play El Camino in game two of the series tomorrow night, (Fri. 2/8) at 6pm and game three on Sat. (2/9) at 12pm.
