Baseball Evens Up Series With El Camino

Bakersfield, CA – Coming off an extra innings loss last night, the Renegade Baseball team even up the series with El Camino after a 6-3 win over Warriors on Friday afternoon.

El Camino got the first run on the board in the top of the first, but a Landn Kauk RBI single scored Wes Bradford to even it up at 1-1 in the bottom of the second. The Warriors would grab a go-ahead run in the third that was answered by Bradford scoring on an error and Hunter Adams crossing home thanks to a Garrett Pavletich RBI single.

The Warriors managed to bring one more run home before BC pulled ahead for good after Will Reynolds scored on a passed ball. The Renegades added two more runs in the top of the eight to take their third victory of the season.

Benji Caggianelli got the start on the bump and threw eight strikeouts, but Carlos Lopez is credited with the win after coming in to pitch the seventh and eighth. Carson Timmons, who pitched the ninth is credited with the save.

BC was outhit by the Warriors 10-9. Leading the Renegades offensively was Will Reynolds who was 3 for 5 from plate with three stolen bases.

The final game of the three game series will be played tomorrow (2/8) at 12pm at Gerry Collis Field.
