Baseball Falls to the Vaqueros

BAKERSFIELD, CA- The Bakersfield College baseball team played their first game of a three game series against Glendale College on Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately, the Renegades dropped the first game, 1-8. 

Glendale got on the board early in the game with one run in the top of the first, which BC followed with a run themseleves at the end of the first. Andrew Townson grounded out to shortstop for a RBI from Jacob Baker, unearned. Unfortunately, for the Renegades that would be the only run they had in the game while the Vaqueros added seven more. 

David Villegas got the start on the mound for the Renegades with six innings, with three strikeouts. Casey Jasso pitched the following two third innings.

The Renegades drop to 5-16 at the beggining of the Western State Conference. Thursday they will travel to Glendale and return back on Saturday to wrap up the series.
