BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College men's golf team hosted the SoCal Preview on Monday at Rio Bravo Country Club in preparation for the SoCal Championship that will take place in May.
Sixteen teams, who were part of the top-ranked programs in Southern California, faced off against the Renegades, who held their own and came in 1st overall after a sixth-man card off with College of the Canyons.
Going into today's round, the renegades understood what was in steak and had a game plan to put their best foot forward to represent the Bakersfield community. Did they know they would accomplish something that had not been done in almost two decades, and that would be to win a home match?
"I can't express how excited I am for these young men. These guys overcame adversity and just continued to grind out their round for each other" said Coach Coble.
